Family of the Year Scholarship Award Essay Contest

Meeks & Lowery Family - 2018 Family of the Year Awardee (With Dr. Edwina Welch, Director of Cross Cultural Center)

It is evident that students continue to rely on the support of their   family on their way to and during college. UC San Diego believes and acknowledges this relationship as an important   contribution to the college experience, and recognizes families   play a valuable role in their students' success and growth in   college. For these reasons, we welcome students and families to   self-nominate for the Family of the Year Scholarship   Award, honored during Homecoming Weekend each fall.

We accept nominations from both the student and the family. The student nomination is different from the family nomination. Only one nomination is required to be eligible for consideration.
