Siblings Day FAQs
Do you have questions about Siblings Day? We have answers!
Siblings Day is a fun-filled weekend sponsored by the Parent & Family Programs Office. UC San Diego students host brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, or family friends (ages 7-16).

Family members, parents and friends are invited to participate in Siblings Day. The only requirement is that you must have at least one UC San Diego student to attend and serve as a host to the younger participant.
For comprehensive directions to UC San Diego, please see our Parking and Directions page. There is no fee for parking on the weekends. Parking is permitted anywhere on campus, except for spaces designated Reserved 24/7 and handicap spaces.
Check-In is at the Multipurpose Room, Student Services Center between 8:00 and 9:30 AM. The Multipurpose Room will serve as the central location for the event. Please check the schedule for locations to other events.
On-campus accommodations are NOT provided for Siblings Day. If your family spends the weekend in San Diego, please consider making reservations at any of the Bartell Hotels and receive a special UCSD Triton Family discounted rate!

Students, siblings, family members, friends, and parents are all invited to participate in Siblings Day. All activities will be catered towards guests ages 7-16.
Family members are welcome and must register AND your UC San Diego student must be registered to serve as a host to the younger participant(s).
Registration closes in January 25, 2017. Due to popular demand, we've added a few spots. Claim yours now, they are going fast!
Yes, each participant, including the UC San Diego student, is required to complete a liability form by checking the box on the online registration form to participate in Siblings Day. By checking the box on the online registration form you are consenting to the liability of waiver for Siblings Day. If you would like a PDF copy of the liability waiver, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A liability waiver is needed in order for you (the parent) to grant permission for your child (7-16) to participate in the activities of Siblings Day.
Please consult with your student about their academic obligations or any other obligations during this time and agree on whether or not to participate in Siblings Day. Once your family is registered, refunds for any reason, will not be granted.

For families in need, we also have a fee waiver application available on a first come, first serve basis. The application can be found here.

You will also receive an e-mail confirmation a week prior to the event that will include more information about the day. Check the Siblings Day webpage regularly for updates.
Absolutely! Please register and note the $35 registration fee is per person. Remember the day is geared to college students and children 7-16.
Once you've registered, you can return to our online registration system at https://www.regonline.com/UCSDsiblingsday2017.
On the right hand side click on "View or Change Your Existing Registration." Log in with your email address and password (if applicable). If you forgot your password, click on "Forgot Your Password?" and our registration system will send you a temporary password to access your information.
This information is also available on your confirmation email.
