In light of COVID-19, all events will be reimagined and offered in a virtual format only. We will continue to provide quality resource-filled events that inform you and support your student’s UC San Diego experience.

  • What is Homecoming @Home?

    UC San Diego Homecoming @Home is planned by three amazing departments whose goals are to make sure every Triton feels a part of the campus celebration. There will be events for families, students, alumni, athletes, faculty, and staff. Signature events - e-Games Tournament, Virtual Tailgate Party, Virtual Triton 5K, and Let’s Break a Record are highlights of the week open to all to celebrate UC San Diego. Homecoming @Home features events just for families of undergraduate students.

  • I'M AN ALUMNI-PARENT. HOW DO I MANAGE ALUMNI-SPECIFIC EVENTS AND FAMILY-SPECIFIC EVENTS?

    Alumni-parents are those who graduated from UC San Diego and have an undergraduate student at the university. Homecoming @Home will have opportunities to attend family-specific events and also enjoy events for alumni. Check out the entire schedule of events and select the events that speak to your Triton heart.

  • AS AN ALUMNI-PARENT, WHERE DO I REGISTER MY FAMILY?

    The Office of Parent and Family Programs provides information on how to register for Homecoming @Home, while our partner, Alumni, is hosting the registration link. Select all the events from Homecoming @Home website.

  • HOW LONG WILL THE REGISTRATION STAY OPEN?

    Registration for E-Sports is closed. Registration for Triton 5K closes October 22. Otherwise, most events remain open. Please visit the schedule of events.

  • HOW DO I ACCESS WHAT I REGISTERED FOR HOMECOMING @HOME?

    Homecoming Hub will be the way for all registrants to access what they registered for. Whether it be e-sports tournament, wine tasting, class reunions, parent and family programs, Homecoming Hub is it. The primary registrant will receive an email notification with steps on how to access the Homecoming Hub. The primary registrant will also receive a separate email from sponsors primarily in charged of an event, for example, Triton Night In and DAOU Wine Tasting Experience. Please look for these emails if you registered for these events.

    The Office of Parent & Family Programs will also communicate with registrants who selected parent and family sessions with information on how to access the sessions planned for the week, in addition to them being available on the Homecoming Hub.

  • HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT I REGISTERED FOR?

    In your email inbox, do a search for “Thank you for registering for Homecoming @Home.”

  • WHO DO I CONTACT FOR DAY OF REGISTRATION AND ACCESS ISSUES?

    Please contact homecoming@ucsd.edu for any issues you encounter on the day of events.

  • IS THERE TIME TO REGISTER FOR OTHER THINGS?

    Once you access the Homecoming Hub, you can access events you registered for and those you did not. It will be open for you to dabble in what your Triton heart desires in that moment. Look for an email in your inbox on how to access the Homecoming Hub.

  • I DON’T HAVE WHAT I NEED FOR THE TRITON 5K

    Registrants of the Triton 5K, Sunday October 25, should have received items for the race. If you did not receive any or some of the items, please email homecoming@ucsd.edu.

  • I OPTED TO RECEIVE THE SPIRIT PACK, BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT IN THE MAIL.

    Spirit packs were mailed to registrants who selected the item during registration. They were mailed the week of October 5 to the primary registrant’s home. Depending on where you live, allow time for it to arrive to your home. Otherwise, contact homecoming@ucsd.edu for questions on its arrival.

  • DO I HAVE TO REGISTER MY STUDENT FOR HOMECOMING @HOME?

    When registering, you will be asked to include your student’s information; however, you will not need to register your student separately. Make sure you know your student’s personal ID number (i.e., A9999999).

  • MY STUDENT DOES NOT WANT TO ATTEND HOMECOMING @HOME. CAN I STILL ATTEND?

    Yes, but we strongly recommend you experience Homecoming @Home together! This is especially the case for students who are learning from home this quarter. The events and sessions planned this year provide families opportunities to learn about their student's college experience, offer resources to help you support your student, and feel included in the UC San Diego community from a distance.

  • MY STUDENT HAS AN EXAM OR OTHER OBLIGATIONS DURING HOMECOMING @HOME. WHAT DO I DO?

    Exams have historically been administered during Homecoming to accommodate several course sections under one disciplinary subject. Please review the schedule of events for more details to plan around any possible conflicts.

  • NOT EVERYONE CAN ATTEND HOMECOMING @HOME. WHO ELSE CAN ATTEND?

    Family is defined by you. Feel free to invite anyone you consider to be a part of your family to watch Homecoming @Home.

  • WHEN DOES REGISTRATION OPEN?

    Registration for Homecoming @Home is open and many events will remain open until the very last possible day. Click here to register or go to Homecoming Hub to access events.

  • HOW MUCH DOES HOMECOMING @HOME COST AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

    Homecoming @Home is mostly free of charge. You may choose to participate in the Global Triton 5K, which has a cost of $20 per person and $15 per student. Participants can also opt to purchase a Triton 5K Race Kit for $12 domestic shipping or $30 international shipping.   • WILL THERE BE FEE WAIVER AVAILABLE FOR THIS YEAR’S HOMECOMING @HOME?

    Due to the nature of Homecoming @Home 2020 moving to a virtual platform at no cost to parents and families, Fee Waivers are not applicable.

  • CAN I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?

    If your plans change and you can no longer participate in a registered session or event hosted by the Office of Parent & Family Programs, please email us at parents@ucsd.edu. If you would like to make an update to your registration, do a search in your email inbox for “Thank you for registering for Homecoming @Home” to retrieve your registration confirmation email and to make any changes.

  • WHAT DO I WEAR TO HOMECOMING @HOME?

    Even though Homecoming @Home is virtual, we encourage all participants to dress like they are attending the event on campus. Be Proud! Be Triton! Wear blue and gold! Take selfies and post to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

  • WHERE DO I POST PHOTOS OF HOMECOMING @HOME?

    We want all participants to feel included in the event. Post photos of your family celebrating Homecoming @Home using #ucsdhomecoming.
