International Parent & Family Orientation Parent & Family Programs

As families of new international students, we understand that your concerns may be a little bit more amplified and your questions may be vast. For this reason, we encourage you to attend a series of orientation programs that will inform you about the culture of the campus. We recommend that you attend both programs for parents and families.

For Parents and Families

International Parent & Family Orientation Program

This program is only for families of international college students starting this fall and is hosted by the Office of Parent & Family Programs. Though not required, this program focuses on supporting parents and families of international students.

Parent & Family Orientation

This program is for parents and families of all students beginning college in the fall. Your student’s college host this program which provides information about the culture of the college and sessions on paying tuition, student health services, campus safety, and more. Click on your student’s college to read about and register for the program.

Depending on the college, this program is scheduled for one day during the week of September 20. Attend the same orientation date as your student.

For Students

New International Student Orientation Program

This program is for students only, required for all new international students, and is hosted by the International Students & Programs Office.

This program is scheduled during September 21-25.

New Student Orientation

This program is required for all new students and is hosted by your student’s college. Click on your student’s college to read about the program.

Depending on the college, this program is scheduled for one or two days during the week of September 20.

Additional Programs

We encourage you to attend these additional orientation programs that will inform you about the culture of the campus.

Homecoming Weekend

An additional way to connect with the university is by joining us for Homecoming Weekend, October 23 - 25, 2020. The weekend is filled with great information and events geared to reconnect with your student. Homecoming Weekend brings the community together through educational sessions, faculty lecture, meeting the administrators that support your student, sports, concert, meals, and so much more.
