New Triton Welcomes invite incoming first-year and transfer students and their families to connect with current members of the Triton community in a relaxed, welcoming and comfortable setting before they formally embark on their UC San Diego journey.

  • Who can attend New Triton Welcomes?
    Our in-person programs are open to the whole family. We’ll have activities specifically for your new UC San Diego student and for incoming parents and guardians. Younger siblings and extended family are welcome to join in on the fun. Our virtual programs are catered specifically to either incoming students or incoming adult family members. Be sure to sign up for the correct program.

  • How do I add someone or make changes to my existing registration for an in-person event?
    When you completed your registration, you should have received a confirmation email. Return to the confirmation email you received and click on the link to "modify your registration." You will be asked to enter your email and your last name to access your registration and update it.

  • Are these part of new student orientation?
    No, New Triton Welcomes are not part of any orientation program. These events are an opportunity for students and families to connect with other Tritons in their area before they head to campus for fall quarter. They are social events and will not cover orientation materials.
