Fee Waiver Request

Families in financial need will be able to apply for a fee waiver to waive the cost mentioned above. We invite families to apply for a fee waiver to attend Siblings Day. Please fill out the Fee Waiver Application to apply for financial assistance with Siblings Day registration fees.

  • What are fee waiver funds?

Funds are available to waive registration costs for Siblings Day. Funds apply to Siblings Day registration fees for 1 sibling or guest and 1 enrolled UC San Diego student. Other events occurring during Siblings Day that require additional costs will not be covered by the fee waiver.

  • Who can apply for a fee waiver?

Families of currently enrolled undergraduate students interested in attending Siblings Day can submit a Fee Waiver Application. Parent & Family Programs will work with the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office to confirm financial need and will respond directly to families about the status of their Fee Waiver Application and other information related to Siblings Day.

  • When should the application be submitted?

We will accept and review Fee Waiver Applications on an ongoing first-come basis. To be considered for the fee waiver, please submit your application as soon as you can. Funds will be dispersed until no longer available.

  • What happens if I am granted a fee waiver and do not use it?

There is a limited amount of fee waiver funds available. If you are approved for a fee waiver, it is important you use it or cancel your registration with our office. Families approved for and/or registered for Siblings Day who do not show up and/or do not cancel in time will be subject to refund the office the total funding originally granted. Please let us know if anything changes in your schedule that may prevent you from participating in Siblings Day. Your advance cancellation could allow waitlisted families to attend in your place.

Refund policy

We are unable to offer refunds for any reason. Please take special note of this policy before registering.
