Parent and family involvement is an essential part of the UC San Diego experience. Triton Parents and Families have meaningful opportunities like volunteerism and philanthropy to help create a rich and supportive learning environment for all students. When students feel supported in their home away from home, they are equipped to thrive.
About the UC San Diego Parents Council
Council members are university advocates who enrich the student experience through personal involvement, philanthropic support and fiduciary responsibility for the designations of the Parents Fund.
About the UC San Diego Parents Fund
The Parents Fund is a financial resource used to support student-centric initiatives that promote learning, encourage personal development and well-being, and facilitate a strong sense of community on campus.
Each year, the Parents Council allocates funds to innovative programs and services that are aligned with the university’s mission and allow for student exploration and discovery in the pursuit of a truly comprehensive education. The designation of funds is determined on the merit of student applications and for priority initiatives determined by the Parents Council.
