Life on Campus

The out-of-classroom experience is very important for your student to look and find a community with which they connect with. Getting involved with campus life will prove to be a support system as they maneuver through campus life. This represents a non-exhaustive list provided at UC San Diego.

Living on Campus

Housing, Dining, & Hospitality provides many services and a lot of information. Get started and learn about the housing parent portal, dining plan, room assignment, move-in, what to bring and more.

Being Well as a Student

Your student will undergo many changes, especially in their first year at UC San Diego. These changes are normal and expected. They can be managed by reaching out to several offices that exist to help your student be well while pursuing their bachelor degree.

Campus Community Centers

UC San Diego has a diverse community of students and we recognize that students will connect with communities close to their identities. The Community Centers are available to support all students and students with specific identities, make the spaces available for study groups and work together to maximize their resources.

Parking and Transportation

Many parents and families struggle with sending their student to campus with their personal car. Should your student be car-less any time during their time on campus, there are many options for getting around campus and options for getting off campus to run errands, go to a doctor's appointment or for any other reasons.
