UC San Diego Emergency Operations Plan

The campus's Emergency Operations Plan provides the framework for an organized and trained response to various human-caused and natural emergency situations including fires, hazardous spills, earthquakes, flooding, explosion, and civil disorders.

UC San Diego Police Department

The Police Department is located on campus near Warren College, and patrols the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Campus Advocacy Resources & Education

CARE at SARC is the UC San Diego advocacy and education office for sexual violence and gender-based violence (dating violence, domestic violence, stalking). CARE is on call 24 hours a day and on weekends through the year. For more information call (858) 534-HELP.

In the event of a major emergency affecting the campus, call the toll-free number for a recorded message for real-time updates on possible campus closures, interruption of classes and work schedules, and any special instructions to faculty, staff, and students.

The phone number is maintained through an out-of-state telecommunication service to ensure it will be available following an earthquake or other major disaster.
