Your student’s finances, billing and payments are handled by Financial Aid and ScholarshipsStudent Financial Solutions and the Cashier's Office, all of which are located in the Student Services Center. Students can authorize parents and guardians to access their financial records in TritonPay to pay the bill, select a payment plan, and waive UC SHIP (the university’s student health insurance).

FERPA and Your Student’s Bill

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) dictates that a student's educational records be kept confidential from all third parties, including parents. UC San Diego may not share certain types of information about your student without their prior consent, including financial and billing information. The student's consent to share their information must be provided through a formal authorization process
