International Parent and Family Orientation introduces families of new international undergraduate students to UC San Diego's campus culture, resources and services with a combination of virtual and in-person, on-campus programming.
You’ll learn about academic, social, wellness and cultural transitions that will influence your student’s experience, resources that support your student’s first year at UC San Diego, and ways the Office of Parent and Family Programs teams with campus offices to support your and your student’s UC San Diego experience.
Parents and families should also be on the lookout for an invitation to participate in other New Family Orientation programs.
All New Family Orientation programs are optional. International Parent and Family Orientation will focus on the cultural transition that international students and their families may experience when students start at UC San Diego. It will also review resources and information to help international students and families navigate campus. If your student is an international student, or if you feel this information would benefit you or your student, we encourage you to attend.
We also strongly recommend you explore other New Family Orientation offerings and take advantage of the variety of programming available to ensure you have all the resources and information you need to best support your student.
