Permits and ParkMobile
Parking at UC San Diego requires a paid parking permit, but purchasing one is easy with the ParkMobile app!
Don't want to deal with parking?
Take a ride on the trolley! UC San Diego is home to its very own trolley stop, conveniently located in the heart of campus. Take the MTS Blue Line to the UCSD Central Campus Station and skip the hassle of parking!
Where to Park for Family Weekend
Friday Before 3 p.m.
If arriving before 3 p.m., the most ample parking can be found in lots P703, P704, or P705 on the east side of campus. Use Zone 4762 in Park Mobile when parking in these lots.
The Regents Express shuttle operates from P703 to the Central Campus Station. From there, follow Family Weekend signage to check-in on Sun God Lawn (about a 10-minute walk) or take the Inside Loop shuttle to Muir College.
While you’re welcome to park on central campus in visitor spaces (marked with a white “V” on the ground), please note that parking may be limited before 3 p.m. If arriving before 3 p.m. and parking on central campus, use Zone 4752 in Park Mobile.
Please be mindful of any signage indicating hourly parking limits or reserved spaces.
Friday After 3 p.m.
If arriving after 3 p.m., use Zone 4762 in Park Mobile for all campus lots and structures. Guests arriving after this time may park in spaces labeled A, B, V, S or D.
After 3 p.m., for the most convenient access to Friday's Family Weekend events, we encourage parking on central campus in Scholars, Pangea or Gilman parking structures. Additional parking is available in the following structures:
South
Hopkins
Theatre District
Please be mindful of any signage indicating hourly parking limits or reserved spaces.
Saturday
Guests are able to park in spaces labeled A, B, V, S or D. For the most convenient access to Saturday's Family Weekend events, we encourage parking in Scholars, Pangea, or Hopkins parking structures. Additional parking inventory is available in the following parking structures:

Getting Around Campus
Mobility Shuttle
Our Family Weekend mobility shuttle is available on Central Campus on Friday from 10 - 8 p.m and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you or anyone in your party needs assistance getting around campus, call 858-239-6845 during these hours and we'll arrange to pick you up.
Inside Loop Shuttle
Take the Inside Loop shuttle for easy transportation around campus! The Inside Loop shuttle runs from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on weekends and stops at convenient places like Hopkins Parking Structure.
